Hi, Brittany_J, and welcome. There are a couple of other things you can do, as well as Apostolos' suggestions.
Use the Command Prompt function by typing those words in the Search box in your start menu.
Right click on the prompt and select the Run as Administrator function. In the Run box, type sfc /scannow
Note the space after sfc. This will run a system file check and attempt to repair any errors.
Another useful tool is Speccy, which will give you an easy to read breakdown of your system.
