Re: It's back! New tread for error 3038,104 360 Premier edition ver 21.1.1.7 now

I think my issue is with a bad install of 360.  I will be getting a call back from a case manager tomorrow morning and I am going to request a disc be sent to me or a refund.  Then I will remove every last bit of Norton probably using my Revo uninstaller and do a fresh install.  I may just end up going with the free stuff on this PC if Norton won't work with me.

It seems to me that my on-line upgrade to 360 uses the same platform as NIS 2011, 2012 but something went south with the addition of 360.  It is a fairly small 360download.exe so I don't know if I could use my key for a full 360 install.  Plus I don't want to be on-line and risk a failure during that process.

Revo uninstaller or Norton removal tool?

My last level two help said I had a computer issue and he fixed it.   I see the event logs showing the same warnings and errors from day one of this PC as it does now.  NIS 2011 and NIS 2012 worked fine.  He also said Secunia PSI and CCleaner and even Malwarebytes could be causing issues even though I have used them from day one of turning this PC on. Well I took those down and used just Norton and my modem/router for protection and the errors came back.

I now have CCleaner and the free Malwarebytes up and running again.  Going to turn on Secunia PSI again tonight.

One thing that is bugging me though as time has passed and I don't know if it means something.  I am hooked up to my modem/router.  I turn on WiFi only for my wifes laptop and our smartphones at times.  Seems like I then have issues with Norton updates!?!?   I just don't know.
