Good clean-out accomplished....I feel so much better now.
Supervisor did a complete removal of all Symantec/Norton and then gave me NIS 2014 21.2.0.38 for the same 3 year contract with no additional costs. So far so good. NIS 2014, CCleaner, FreeMalwarebytes, and a touch of Secunia PSI makes myself and my PC run smoothly.
The supervisor did state that the Windows 7 (and 8) User Account Control's need to remain off for 360 to work properly if that is the only issue a person has with 360. That is something I saw in their support for the 3038,104 issues and mentioned in this forum. The support should mention that it needs to remain off until a Norton fix has been effective. May have been all I needed although the previous transfer of files, Norton iterations and such from Vista likely was a lingering issue with my PC. (I hate using the word Vista!)
So Thank You Nank and others. My system did need a clean, fresh install. I also choose to pursue NIS 2014 which meets my needs just fine.
The Norton level two group helped a bit but working with the supervisor was a much better experience and he took care of me as I was hoping they would since I am a long time Norton user.
