I have Norton 360 Premier (ver. 21.2.0.38 - 6 licenses) and this version has been upgraded a number of times over the last 5 years. I was using the Sysinternals “Autoruns” program to look at all software and drivers that loaded at startup on Windows 7 SP1 (Ultimate version) and I found a number of what appear to be older Norton drivers that are still trying to load (via Registry) even though Autoruns shows that the files are missing. The driver files that are attempting to load are:
EraserUtilRebootDrv.sys
SYMFW.sys
SYMNDISV.sys
Synth3dvsc.sys
Tsusbhub.sys
My question is, can I delete these registry keys without causing problems with the current version of Norton 360? Or is there some other issue as to why the files for these drivers are shown as missing? Anyone else see anything like this?
