I have looked through the Norton site and forums and have not had any luck finding an answer/solution, but I am really hoping someone will be able to help me resolve an issue that has popped up. I was on the phone trying to help my mom in law with some problems she was having with her computer and I suspect that her computer may have been hijacked by something called Lab Search Conduit.com. It kept popping up while I was talking to her, but I told to her not to click anything except the x to close it, since I did not know what it was. After the third time, I decided to look it up to see exactly what it was, I found some information with varying descriptions, like Browser Highjacker and virus. We both have Norton 360, so at that point I told her to go into Norton and run a full system scan and when it was done turn off her computer and leave it off until I find out what to do. I have never had this come up and am unsure as to what course of action we need to take. She is not too computer savvy, but I should be able to talk her through whatever needs to be done, if not she will have to wait until we go visit in a few weeks.
Any assistance and information with this would be greatly appreciated and good to know just in case. Thank you for your time.
