Well, with the idea from scree's post, I spent the past 3 hours opening and closing various programs. I triggered the CPU usage 7 times. With the programs IE, CHROME, VLC, a couple photo edit programs, pdf, Skype, there was just 1 minor reaction, but not the 50% process of this post.

Don't know if anyone else is using it, but I am also using the Chrome beta v38 for a couple months now. If I opened/closed opened/closed it a second time 360 would kick in. One time it happened on just 1 open/close.

Once I was fairly confident of the reaction so I turned on 'sleep mode' and opened/closed Chrome beta twice and 360 still kicked in churning 50%.

Who knows maybe tomorrow results may be different.

Norton does not support beta versions of the browsers. What you are seeing could be an example of why you should only run released versions of products so they have a better chance of being compatible.

Until your version of Chrome is officially released, you cannot blame Norton for any issues you may see.
