It is rather more than a few some of the time, just a glance through the forum suggests it's rather more than you imply.
I don't remember exactly how long this has been going on for and the number of new updates Norton has carried out in this time however it was happening when I was living in Kent and still is now I'm in Plymouth where I've been for 8 months so the problem must be not far off one year.
I have 3 laptops:
1. Vista Ultimate
2. Windows 7 Ultimate
3. Windows 7 Home Premium
All these are running Norton 360
I also have a Microsoft Surface 2 Pro running Windows 8.1 on this I use Norton Anti-virus.
On all the above machines the double icon problem has come and gone and come again on numerous occasions.
Whilst it may be cosmetic it is rather poor that progammers for a "top of the range" software company cannot get this right and also allow it to knowingly go on for so long.
Why are we paying to have to fiddle around and work round problems of Norton programmers making when they should have sorted it out many months ago.
