Yes, I checked to see if its having any DNS/WINS/GATEWAY address set. [I forgot to mention that:(].
Do you see something like that?
Can you give us a brief layout of how you are connected to internet?
Please try restarting your network devices and see if it helps.
Also while posting next time, please add any error codes you can find.
Gateway timeouts can be cause by a lot of reasons:
server misconfiguration
server outage
network errors
dns errors
ISP errors
filtering by firewall
etc.
Did you try Norton Power Fraser again?
Try this too:
In command prompt, enter
ipconfig /flushdns
Restart your machine and try connecting.
