Thank you for your response. I already had intelligent updater in my computer, just couldn't remember it's name
in the stress of the moment. What I did was run Malewarebytes, which found nothing, but then my NPE was willing
to work. It found nothing. Still couldn't download updates, so did a removal and reinstall as I have a disk.. Only instead of
leaving me with my 70 plus days of my subscription, it said that I had I had no days. So I couldn't go on line comfortably.
The only solution I could see was to get Comcast wireless which I've spent the last two days setting up. I was
told that I'd have to switch to McAfee which I really didn't want to do as I have my online backup with you all.
When I set it up the security program it turned out that I now have Norton Security Suite instead of 360. Haven't
had time to see if there is any difference of not. So It's safe to go online again.
My only question left is what happens to my online back up that was linked to 360, is it automatically transferred?
I ask because when I renewed last year, I was having problems with my laptop which took a couple of months
to resolve. Finally got it on. My laptop and desktop are both backed up with you and I just noticed that half of my
stored information seems to be gone. Could the delay in the laptop registering have caused it's information to be
deleted? I have alot of saved genealogical research and newspaper articles from paid sites stored and don't
want to lose them. I have my computers set up to do a manual backup in a external hard drive (K). Only for some
reason, it often reverts to wanting to put it back into the computer that's being backed up. So I always watch it
and rerun it if it reverts. I check the connections very carefully before running it, so that's not the problem. Does it back up
both to the online backup and to my drive? Or should I download the information from your storage into my computer
to be safe? I hope I've expressed this clearly enough. If you have an questions, let me know. Having wireless
should stimplifiy this all. Thanks so much for your help. Theresa
