well I woke up today and yes I did...

I checked my security history and overnight there were a couple of times that liveupdates came through. There were also acoupled of blocked items...set security registry key blocked (that happens a couple time a day I think) and the block program access that some kind of host file is trying to access norton data fileswhich also occurs a couple of time a day normally. Sometimes there are 20 or 30 of those attacks in a row every couple of seconds so that my security history is a big list of orange dots lol.

I wonder what the problem with liveupdate is? Do they come from a country that's having political or social difficulty and maybe the people are losing their jobs? I sure hope not. I really think the world is suffering too much right now. I guess tech is so intertwined into much of all society right now that it stands to reason there might be trouble with it, too. I just want to mind my own business and wish my kids would put more pictures of my grandkids up lol.

I went to bed last night extremely agitated over this update thing and the fact that my neighbor will NOT turn her tv down and there is no peace at all. My head talks enough without her tv (seems she always has it on 'angry news' or something.

Got up this morning and it's still going and still very loud. TORTURE.

No wonder I'm not getting better. It feels like she's trying to drive me off the deep end on purpose.

Thank you, Norton 360 for updating me a couple of times last night! YAY!

lol

Sounds like you neighbor needs to be persuaded by a remote "mute" control.  Imagine the response when their TV is being muted from a hidden location    tv.gif

Regarding the live updates, I agree with the other members here,  Your PC is being protected as well as possible.  I do understand about the "peace of mind" part of your concerns as I'm the same way about this PC protection scene.  That's why, my 2 cents, the best approach is to have a complete hard drive backup routine in place and maintained as that's the best way to recover from nearly all threats.

and yes I do hope it's because the bad guys are busy ...maybe doing something constructive with all that knowledge instead of trying to hurt people.

If I had my way, I'd lock up those guys and throw away the key jail.gif
