Anyone have a memory to that goes back far enough to rememeber that that is somewhat generic instructions, for Symantec tools.
As in the past with the tools, and after running NBRT or run Norton Safe Mode, it does not remove or fully remove the Rootkit / Bootkit groups (well except when there was no protections and problems happened with Norton deleting system files).
That is why I infect my system myself with families, to get the info I need myself.
As a side note, users around have tried with a Microsoft product offline (like NBRT) and found Windows won't boot afterwards.
