Unlike you, I am VERY sure about that C:\Program Files (x86)\Norton Internet Security\Engine\21.4.0.13\ips\ipsbho.dll ("Norton Vulnerability Protection")
Please explain to me why Symantec have converted ALL other extensions to Internet Explorer (version 11 and older)
Hi,Gunnar-SE.
Thanks for posting. Now I understand what ipsbho.dll is. It's part of Norton Intrusion Prevention System--hence the "ips" in ipsbho.dll; and so is Norton Vulnerability Protection (NVP).
Unfortunately, I don't have an answer as to why Symantec hasn't converted NVP to accomodate the 64-bit architecture in IE as they have done with other Norton extentions. There have been complaints about this for a while now. See here:http://community.norton.com/t5/Norton-Toolbar-Norton-Identity/norton-vunerability-protection/td-p/1094597
