I received the same warning and I do believe it was just a shotgun blast to all regirsteered Norton Users to warn them of the possibility of it occurring on their androids - if they have one. The old adage better safe than sorry I feel applies.
Also there are many folks who would complain if they got hit with it and Norton did not forewarn users of it - so I feel it is a very good move on Norton's part to make sure everyone is forewarned of this situation.
