I never use sleep/hibernation on my desktop, but I rarely shut it down either. I only reboot it when necessary for software upgrades or fixes.
From what I can see of other posts on the 3038,104 and 8920,208 errors is that they are due to a corruption in the user account that happens with a small percentage of users, but a new problem emerged that is addressed by the new 21.5.0.19 build. Since it happened with a small percentage of users (my laptop is fine, runs N360 with Windows 7, goes to sleep all the time), it was probalby another Windows problem that MS hasn't gotten around to fixing yet. If so, Norton will likely be working with MS to provide information on how the problem affected Norton and thus to fix it. In the meantime, you and I can stop worring about whether our virus scanning is working or not.
